Minneapolis HIFI needed a brand that could speak to seasoned audiophiles while remaining inviting to those beginning their high-fidelity journey. The challenge was to balance technical credibility with warmth, avoiding the intimidation and visual clutter often associated with specialty audio retailers.
In a market dominated by dated aesthetics and product-driven messaging, Minneapolis HIFI required a modern identity—one that elevated the listening experience, reflected the care of in-store demonstrations, and positioned the brand as a trusted authority rather than a transactional seller.

The identity system was designed to feel bold and simple with generous spacing to reflect the quiet confidence of high-end audio. Visual noise was intentionally removed, allowing the focus to remain on craftsmanship, performance, and the act of listening itself.
The brand voice was shaped to be knowledgeable yet conversational—technical when necessary, approachable at all times. Every touchpoint was designed to mirror the in-studio experience: thoughtful, unhurried, and guided by expertise.
