The Challenge
Perception is Reality
Good Chemistry, a cannabis dispensary in Denver, Colorado presented us with the challenge of repositioning marijuana from a recreational gateway drug grown in basements to a life enhancing plant cultivated for advancing the science of well-being.
The Solution
Knowledge is Power
What you don’t know, you don’t know. And there is much to know about the art and science of cannabis. Our solution was to take away category perceptions of mystery and mistrust and replace these perceptions with facts, clarity and confidence. Elevating the notion of a marijuana dispensary to an apothecary of well-being, we provided a meaningful context for delivering information and ultimately, education.
The Approach
Retail therapy
The opening of Good Chemistry’s retail store was the perfect forum for curating a knowledge-based experience. Creating spaces and places for the consumer to gather information as well as helping them navigate and identify the right strain of cannabis for their need accomplished two things; 1) It educated consumers and opened their eyes to “remedies and therapies” they were unaware of and in turn, positioned Good Chemistry as the expert it is. And 2) When the consumer was ready to make a purchase and converse with a Good Chemistry budmaster, there was a depth of understanding that enabled efficient and productive transactions.
In Conclusion
Mission Accomplished
The work of Good Chemistry is guided by four core principles — science, access, dignity and compassion. They believe cannabis has significant therapeutic benefits and it’s their mission to support and expand the study of this plant. Giving people access to safe, reliable and high-quality cannabis was achieved by designing an experience that brought forward their principles, ultimately enriching the lives of their patrons.
