V.I.O.

Viosport approached us to help with the branding and launch of their technology platform: a portable digital camera that could tag, edit, download video, and share in an online user community. Their goal was to create a new market for military, police, and other tactical commercial applications, so the need for a more inclusive name and a new identity was crucial.

With a new, primary brand icon (a stylized version of the camera eye), packaging, and extended brand language, the renamed V.I.O. is a unique combination of innovation and ruggedness.

Sales have exceeded all expectations with surprisingly positive reception from international markets, particularly in Europe.

Sales surged in the motor sports category and doors have been opened in key tactical accounts such as the Los Angeles police department SWAT team and select units of the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
